NIPOMO NATIVE SEEDS, LLC was formed in 2014 by three dudes who had worked together in the vegetable seed industry for several years. The aim of our company is to provide seed of nutritious and sustainable varieties with a focus on leafy-greens vegetables.

We also produce organic seed of hand-pollinated hybrids in the Solanaceae and Cucurbitaceae families.

Supporting a sustainable approach to agriculture through bio-control, we produce predatory mites (Phytoseiulus persimilis), which feed on the twospotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae), a serious pest of strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries, thus avoiding the use of pesticides.

Our pursuit of California native seed comes from our active interest and recreation in nature; hiking the trails of the Central Coast of California, with a strong affinity for its flora.

We are located on the Nipomo Mesa, in southern San Luis Obispo County, California. We farm ten acres of sandy soil, of which eight are in field crops, and another 17,000 sq. ft. is greenhouse space.
